Appearances on the BBC played a crucial part in the extraordinary UK success enjoyed by Focus in 1972-73. Their live performances on TV’s The Old Grey Whistle Test and radio’s Sounds Of The ‘70s were much discussed at the time, and laid the foundation for a trio of hit singles in Sylvia, Hocus Pocus and House Of The King, all included here. Seven tracks showcase their distinctive mix of flute, keyboards and guitar with occasional yodelling.
